Packing Tips for a 3-Day Weekend

Packing for a trip can be tough since it can be hard to know if you’re taking too much or too little. Packing for a three-day weekend, however, is particularly difficult.

Here are a few tips to help you pack just the right amount for your next long weekend.

Don’t skimp on essentials – Don’t let your desire for light travel sabotage you by leaving you without crucial items. Make room for an extra pair of socks and undergarments, comfortable sleeping clothes, and toiletry items. These are things you don’t want to be without and can’t easily replace on the go.

Count the outings, not just the days – You may need extra clothes for special events, especially if you’re celebrating an anniversary or other special occasion. This means that if you’re going away for three days but have two outings planned, you’ll need five outfits instead of three.

Pack dual purpose items – Keep your suitcase light by packing items that have multiple uses. For instance, jeans and a tee-shirt work for a casual day but can be transformed with just a jacket for an evening look. So consider your plans and look for clothes that can do double duty.
